The Academies of Kaua’i is the first unified complex academy model in the Hawaii Department of Education. Through the academy, our public high schools are able to offer real word experiences to students to better prepare them for life after high school. We have partnered with educators, employers and community leaders to implement this new approach to high school education. This approach allows us to strengthen the connection between what our students learn in the classroom and what our students will do after graduation.
The Academies of Kaua’i offers 7 different pathways
that students are able to choose from:

Natural Resources & Green Energy

Public & Professional Services
Business
Each individual high school will offer specific pathways, however, resources from each school are open to all students apart of the Academies of Kauai program. This modern approach allows students to continue to study general topics such as Math, Science, English and Social Studies through the theme of whichever pathway they choose. This creates a more meaningful learning experience and gets our students career and college ready.
